Matthew manages MaRS Innovation’s in-house IP data by tracking and maintaining new invention disclosures and coordinating communication between members, inventors, and patent counsel. He also maintains correspondence, documentation and license agreements related to patent filings, expenses and licensing agreements.
Matthew brings seven years of IP management experience to MaRS Innovation. Having managed preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications, Matthew’s knowledge of IP includes an emphasis on electronics and telecommunications technologies. Matthew has worked primarily within full-service national and IP boutique law firms.
Matthew also spent four years as an SAP software consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Working with many Fortune 500 corporations, the provincial government and multinational industries, Matthew implemented ERP solutions under one business management system.
Matthew is a graduate of the University of Toronto.
