Ivan earned his Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine from the University of British Columbia.
Prior to joining MaRS Innovation, Ivan worked as an analyst at Burrill & Co., a life science-based venture capital firm based in San Francisco. He also worked at the Centre for Drug Discovery and Development and the technology transfer office of the University of British Columbia.
Ivan has a background as an entrepreneur, having formed a consulting business specializing in helping start-up life science companies attract investment capital.
