Amit holds a M.Sc. in Chemistry and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Calgary.
Amit is responsible for managing the development of IP assets in the medical devices and physical sciences and accelerating their commercialization. Prior to joining MI, he had a technology transfer role at University Technologies International (UTI), the for-profit office representing the University of Calgary. Amit conducted due diligence on early-stage technologies, prepared business cases, negotiated terms and facilitated commercialization. Amit has nearly seven years’ experience broadly in materials science; electrochemistry; and nanotechnology, having led a multi-disciplinary team in developing a working implantable glucose sensor.
