For the past several months, Dr. May has been offering strategic/business planning and technology assessment support to the Ontario Life Science community. Previously, he was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Rimon Therapeutics Ltd, a Toronto-based regenerative medicine company developing novel medical polymers that possess drug-like activity. Dr. May completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Toronto in 1998 as an NSERC Scholar, and was awarded the Martin Walmsley Fellowship for Technological Entrepreneurship in support of the founding of Rimon Therapeutics. In addition to serving on the MaRS Innovation Board, he serves on the Boards of BioDiscovery Toronto, Rimon Therapeutics Ltd, the Advanced Regenerative Tissue Engineering Centre, 20/20 Vision, and the Board of Advisors of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry, at the University of Toronto.
